Job summary

A leading gas supply company in Singapore is looking for a motivated individual to operate their plant safely and efficiently. This role requires a Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or other Engineering Fields, along with a safety-oriented mindset. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to safety protocols, coordinating with maintenance crews, and implementing quality assurance activities. Ideal candidates have less than 2 years of experience and basic knowledge of instrumentation and IT.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher NITEC Graduate in Chemical Engineering is preferred, but we welcome applicants from other Engineering Fields as well.
• Less than 2 years of working experience.
• Safety oriented.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and rotating machinery operation.
• Basic IT knowledge in word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Operate the plant efficiently by following standard operating procedures.
• Identify abnormalities in process, instrument, equipment or machines.
• Take regular samples, analyze and record as scheduled.
• Coordinate with maintenance crew for safe handover for maintenance.
• Issue permits and perform necessary checks as stipulated.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing system within unit operation.
• Engage in continuous improvement of job tasks for productivity.
• Implement quality assurance activities and maintain documentation in an 'as built' condition.
• Participate in internal/external audits and assist in closing out points.
