About the Role

The primary responsibility of the Electrical Plant Engineer is to ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment and drive energy efficiency and cost optimisation within the plant. They are also responsible to uphold electrical safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance. By developing and implementing safety protocols, conduct regular audits and inspections, and train personnel on electrical safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all Plant’s equipment reliability and usability.
  • Ensure energy efficiency by optimizing energy consumption.
  • Review and develop electrical related SOPs.
  • Monitor and ensure Plant’s compliance with electrical safety regulations, and systems and equipment meet required standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance strategies and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the desired specifications.
  • Review all vendor contracts and recommend the performance of contractors.
  • Conduct vendor service performance audit.
  • Liaise with UMT HQ technical team for process improvement and equipment issues.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Automation & Robotics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Min of 3 years of relevant working experience (Diploma)
  • Fresh Graduate are welcome (Degree)
  • Intermediate MS Office
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good Written and spoken English.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation skills to share and brief co-workers and management with clarity.
  • Have digital control system and PLC-related troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Have knowledge of E & I
  • Able to carry out hands-on work.
  • Have leadership and supervision skills to guide and coach team members
  • Independent individual that does not require supervision.
  • A good team player who can collaborate across different teams and departments.
