Job description

Upscale Classical Pilates fitness Studio with one studio in Singapore and two in Hong Kong, seeks experienced Studio Manager to oversee the Singapore location. Candidate will have senior management experience in the fitness industry with knowledge of sales, customer service and physical plant operations; knowledge of MBO. Position overseas Studio Supervisor and other Front Desk Team members, and liaises with HR, Marketing, Sales and Company Director. Fluent in English, with Cantonese and Mandarin a plus. We are seeking candidates proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking clients. Successful candidates will have 3 years’ management experience in the fitness industry, and suitable references. Salary commensurate with experience. Team bonus offered for achieving monthly targets. This role may also handle Sales, with additional commission structure offered.

Studio Manager Responsibilities
A. Customer Service/Company Operations Management
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly procedures for Customer Service/Front Desk
  • Recruit, train and manage Front Desk Staff in all Customer Service and Operational procedures as well as Sales; set studio policies
  • Follow and train staff in Customer Service protocol
  • Reviewing of POS system and terms (credit card, PayWave etc)
  • Answer enquiries for corporate and charity classes
  • Schedule instructors, classes and workshops
  • MindBody Online (MBO) management
    • Checking unpaid visits monthly
    • Freeing up slots for new clients (make the call to cancel class, or adjusting instructor’s availability)
    • Setting and updating pricing
    • MBO Comms: (listed policies, waivers, auto-emails, client forms, etc)
B. Physical Plant
  • Oversee physical plant; responsible for upgrades/maintenance
  • Develop and follow protocol for handling physical plant emergencies
  • Supervise cleaners; review and change cleaning supplier if studio sanitary and cleanliness standards are not met.
C. Human Resource Management – Support Office Manager as needed
  • Review current staff organization and job functions
  • Implement changes for greater effectiveness
