Overview
We are hiring for a boutique pet photography studio dedicated to capturing heartfelt moments between pets and their humans. Our space is designed to be welcoming, creative, and stress-free — ensuring every furry guest feels at ease. We’re looking for a versatile, passionate individual who can wear multiple hats — from photographing pets to managing studio operations and running marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Photography
- Conduct professional photo sessions for pets (and sometimes their humans), ensuring a fun, stress-free experience.
- Prepare and style the set, props, and lighting before shoots.
- Edit and retouch photos to meet brand quality standards.
- Maintain and care for photography equipment.
- Photography/Videography for Prime Photography (events, etc) as needed.
- Studio Operations
- Manage studio bookings and scheduling.
- Greet and assist clients during visits.
- Ensure the studio is always clean, organised, and pet-safe.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners (e.g., prop makers, printing vendors).
- Handle basic inventory management for props, consumables, and merchandise.
- Marketing & Business Support
- Manage social media content creation (photos, reels, behind-the-scenes stories).
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and collaborations.
- Respond to online inquiries and engage with the community.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal themes, mini-shoot events, and upselling opportunities.
- Track customer feedback and suggest improvements to enhance service quality.
Requirements
- PhotographySkills: Proficiency in DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting, and photo editing software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop).
- AnimalHandling: Comfortable and patient with dogs, cats, and other pets.
- Organisation & Communication: Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise, and communicate professionally with clients.
- CreativeMindset: Keen eye for styling, composition, and storytelling.
- MarketingAwareness: Basic knowledge of social media, content creation, and brand storytelling.
- Willingness to work on weekends or public holidays (as needed for shoots).
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience in pet photography or portrait photography.
- Knowledge of basic studio lighting setups.
- Familiarity with Canva or video editing for short-form content.
