About the job Personal Assistant to Secretary General

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to Secretary-General.
  • Work in close cooperation with the Secretary-General and contribute to initiatives for management improvement by capturing, institutionalizing, and sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Provide support in calendar & meeting arrangement
  • Support or recommend improvements initiative to enhance productivity and performance including the implementation of cost‑saving strategies.
  • Work with related stakeholders in mobilizing resources and engage in building partnerships with donor and member countries, UN agencies, development financial institutions and global programme partnerships, at global, regional, and country levels.
  • Support the Secretary‑General in developing partnerships building, donor mapping, and resource mobilization strategy, tools and procedures and coordinates their implementation including development of quality proposals, presentation and briefing papers to donors.
  • Attend to any other ad‑hoc matters assigned by the Sectary‑General.

Qualifications

  • A University degree (Minimum of BSc) in Law, Economics, Business Management, Engineering and other related areas.
  • Possess minimum 5 years of related working experiences.
  • Professional work experience both at national and international level in two of the following: international organization, intergovernmental organization, financial institution, think tank, educational, research and development institution
