Part‑Time Lecturer – EE6506 Power Semiconductor‑Based Converter in Renewable Energy Systems

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as a Part‑Time Lecturer for EE6506 Power Semiconductor‑Based Converter in Renewable Energy Systems. The Part‑Time Lecturer is expected to teach this postgraduate course commencing in August 2023.

This 13‑week course will be offered to students in the NTU EEE MSc Power Engineering (PE) Programme. It aims to provide a background on the theoretical, practical and design aspects of power semiconductor devices and passive components, including their applications in various power converter systems essential in all Renewable Energy Systems. The curriculum will illustrate device selection, control and protection of power semiconductor devices through examples, problem solutions, applications and case studies.

The successful candidate should have extensive relevant industry experience and/or at least a PhD degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (with a relevant research background) and a passion for teaching. Past teaching experience in a similar subject at postgraduate level (for EE6506) is preferred.
