Context & Environment
  • Jobholder to assist in ensuring TTA's accounting and reporting meets the requirements and in compliance with the regulations that it is subjected to
  • The role operates in a high-pressure environment with critical deadlines, particularly during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing periods
  • Collaboration with very diverse international teams locally and stakeholders based abroad

Activities
Job Dimension

Responsible for the accounting and reporting of general administrative costs for entities under T&S (TTA and CSSS) in the Singapore office.

Overhead Accounting & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of all general administration expenses and ensure timely posting to the general ledger
  • Monitor and update cost allocation ratios to ensure proper distribution across business segments and trading books
  • Record and justify accruals for general administration costs, conduct periodic reviews and follow-ups with relevant departments
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on overhead expenditures, including variance analysis against budget and historical data
  • Investigate and explain significant variances to management
  • Support monthly full-set accounts with accurate financial records
Financial Closing and Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Comply with regulatory and accounting standards, including SOX, IFRS / FRS, and local tax regulations
Intercompany Recharges & Reconciliations
  • Manage intercompany recharges process, including issuance of invoices and debit / credit notes
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of intercompany charges across group affiliates
  • Reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual inter-company transactions between the Singapore office and affiliate entities
Tax Compliance
  • Prepare tax computations and liaise with tax agents. Handle tax queries and keep abreast of updates / changes in tax regulations
  • Provide necessary schedules for Estimated Chargeable Income and final tax filings
  • Ensure complete recording of GST and Withholding tax related to general administration expenses
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)
  • Ensure compliance with Global Trader Programme (GTP) requirements in annual tax computations
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Participate in the budgeting process for overhead expenses based on historical trends, market conditions, business objectives, and departmental input
Audit Support
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to overhead expenses
Regulatory Reporting
  • Prepare and submit surveys to government authorities (e.g., Department of Statistics, Enterprise Singapore, Monetary Authority of Singapore) within specified deadlines
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Communicate with other local and overseas offices for financial reporting collaboration
  • Coordinate with external parties such as tax advisors for compliance and advisory matters
Process Improvement & Ad-hoc tasks
  • Propose and collaborate on process enhancements with IT and other teams
  • Assist in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by management
Candidate Profile
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Equivalent (Bac + 3) with recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant or ACCA membership)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing full-set financial records
  • Proficient in MS tools (Power BI, Power Query)
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA is essential
