Job description

The Operations Manager will play a central role in overseeing the daily functions of Mala’s Kitchen Pte. Ltd., ensuring that food service, staff management, and operational processes run smoothly. This position is designed to strengthen the company’s operations by maintaining high standards of efficiency, food safety, and customer service, while supporting the small but dedicated team of full‑time staff.

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Oversee daily kitchen and service operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  2. Plan and manage staff work schedules, ensuring adequate manpower during operating hours.
  3. Monitor food preparation and service to maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
  4. Manage inventory levels, track usage, and coordinate procurement with suppliers.
  5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
  6. Develop, implement, and review standard operating procedures to improve workflow.
  7. Supervise and support staff training to enhance performance and operational standards.
  8. Address operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions in service.
  9. Oversee upkeep of kitchen facilities and equipment, arranging timely maintenance and repairs.
  10. Assist in planning and implementing operational improvements that contribute to long‑term efficiency.
Technical Skills and Competencies
  1. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with Singapore regulations.
  2. Ability to design, implement, and monitor operational procedures.

Duration of Traineeship/Attachment Offered - 6 months
