About Quantum EV Pte Ltd

Quantum EV Pte Ltd is a forward-thinking vehicle distributor dedicated to accelerating the adoption of sustainable transportation. We are looking for a hands-on, multi-disciplinary Business Development Manager to oversee our operations, regulatory compliance, and partner relationships.

Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager who bridges the gap between strategy and execution. In this role, you will not only drive business growth through pricing and marketing strategies but also ensure the operational backbone of the company is strong—from LTA compliance and logistics to aftersales support and dealer coordination.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Commercial Management
  • Participate in high-level discussions with upper management regarding vehicle price walks, modifications, and co-marketing efforts.

  • Contribute to budgeting and planning for major automotive shows and promotional events.

  • Manage invoicing processes and assist in financial tracking relative to sales and inventory.

2. Regulatory Compliance & LTA Liaison
  • Manage the end-to-end vehicle certification process.

  • Ensure all documentation strictly complies with Land Transport Authority (LTA) requirements for the batch approval process to prevent delays in vehicle registration.

3. Manufacturer & Dealer Relations
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Quantum EV and the vehicle manufacturer (Sales, Aftersales, and Technical teams).

  • Coordinate ensuring customer and dealer feedback is appropriately escalated for review and action.

  • Maintain close relationships with the dealer network to support their sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Collaborate with dealers' sales teams and workshop mechanics to ensure the smooth transfer and operation of vehicles.

4. Logistics & Fleet Operations
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for vehicle movements: from port arrival to the warehouse, to LTA-approved inspection centers, to workshops for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), and finally to dealer showrooms.

  • Conduct rigorous quality control checks (interior and exterior) upon vehicle arrival at the warehouse to ensure acceptable condition.

  • Maintain the fleet in optimal working condition, including regular monitoring of battery State-of-Charge (SoC) and charging schedules.

5. Aftersales & Parts Management
  • Oversee the reporting and logging of all vehicle defects and warranty claims to the manufacturer.

  • Plan, forecast, and execute the purchasing of automotive replacement parts to support vehicles sold and minimize downtime.

Requirements
  • Language: Command of Mandarin is required as communication with manufacturers will be in Chinese
  • Experience: Proven experience in the Singapore automotive industry. Previous experience working with LTA regulatory processes (VICOM/STA inspection standards) is highly preferred.

  • EV Knowledge: Strong understanding of Electric Vehicles (EV), specifically regarding charging infrastructure and battery health management.

  • Skills: Strong project management and logistical coordination skills.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Mindset: A hands-on approach; comfortable moving between boardroom strategy and warehouse/workshop operations.
