Job summary

A manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Operation Manager to oversee daily production processes, ensuring quality output and timely delivery. You will lead a team, manage inventory, and develop training programs to enhance productivity. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in sheet metal or engineering, combined with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in high mix low volume manufacturing.
  • Experience in sheet metal or engineering factory management.
  • Capable of presenting summary reports and leading teams to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a 4M manufacturing system in the workshop.
  • Update daily production status through WhatsApp before 5 PM.
  • Coordinate manufacturing staff to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage inventory to ensure production quotas are met.
  • Conduct training programs for staff improvement.

A Operation manager overseesdaily production process andschedule, overseeing quality output and ensuring safety, cost‑efficient, andtimely production to meet delivery date‑line. Products are produced ontime and projects completed within the date‑line. Utilizing needed manpowerresources, materials, machine & method. Create a timescale forproduction, supervising production processes and adjusting schedules whenneeded. Daily update of production activities to General Manager by end ofthe day. (Set Up a reporting format)*Operation Manager also responsible for all equipment’s maintenanceprogams to ensure every machine is keep in the highest stage for qualityproducts.Product manufacturing Standardisation and applying quality‑controlprograms, liaising with Team Leaders and problem solving.*Due to Manufacturing business involves irregular hours, even duringweekends or public holidays might occur to communicate. Committed to deliverydatel‑ine and quality is the top priority.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a4M manufacturing System in the work shop. Train staff’s to understandDeliveries, Quality, Process Flow and Product knowledge.
  • Update dailyproduction Status thru WhatsApp before 5pm daily.
  • Develop and managetracking systems for analyzing production rates and product quality andidentifying production issues before they arise.
  • Coordinatemanufacturing staff to maximize efficiency, including creating the schedule,managing labor costs, giving instructions.
  • Assign IN/OUTINGDeliveries.
  • Manage the inventory to ensure production always have the supply needed to complete productionquotas quickly and efficiently, placing orders when necessary in advance soinventory is restocked before depletion.
  • Fulfilladministrative duties, completing production reports. Overtime scheduleoverviews that detail production rates and worker performances.
  • Schedule trainingprograms for staff’s improvement at least once every quarterly for everyproduction Saff.
  • Present productioninformation to management, including solutions for potential improvement andstrategies for implementing these suggestions.
  • Contribute to thehiring process, making recommendations for which candidates are the mostcapable. Interview Requires*
  • Ensure Safety atWork MUST be practice within factory premises and implement New Safety Ruleswhen there’s a Near Miss or thru observation of unsafe method.
  • Ed‑hoc dutiesrelated to (Manufacturing) assign byGM or Director.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Engineering with minimum 10 years hands‑on experience in high Mix Low volumemanufacturing environment.
  • Must work in SheetMetal or Engineering Factory in MYR previously.
  • Good track record inleading a manufacturing operation. KPI indicator for individual performancewill be set.
  • Ability to presentsummary reports.
  • Ability to Lead aproduction team to meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) setby Operation Manager. Eg.- Productivity, Quality, and On‑Time delivery, etc.
