Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to kick‑start your career at Citi! We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic team players with a strong work ethic to join the APAC FX Middle Office, part of the Market Operations organization. As an FX Middle Office Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the trade lifecycle by working closely with business partners, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions flow through our front‑to‑back systems with no issues. The overall objective is to support the front office desk by providing trade‑lifecycle support, performing and reviewing controls, and handling trade exception and remediation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading for FX business in Hub locations – Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
  • Support lifecycle activities and interact with business, firm’s clients, operations and technology to manage post‑execution issues.
  • Perform control functions based on intermediary processing systems and records.
  • Complete daily tasks accurately and on time.
  • Ensure the desk is compliant with internal and external regulations.
  • Manage, escalate and resolve all requests, inquiries, issues and errors and identify policy gaps.
  • Show willingness to cross‑train within teams – Sales and Trading MO functions.
  • Assist the Team Lead in all duties as required.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Work Australia shift on a rotational basis.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a financial institution/banking.
  • Fundamental understanding of FX & option products, trade lifecycle management and related operational risks.
  • Team‑oriented personality that thrives in a team environment and can also work independently.
  • Self‑motivation, flexibility and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high‑risk and fast‑paced environment.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferred.
