Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in delivering holistic and person-centred care to residents and clients in both inpatient residential and community-based outpatient settings. You will play a key role in improving quality of life, promoting functional independence, and supervising a team of therapy and care support staff.

Job Description

Clinical Duties (Inpatient & Outpatient)

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care or treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based OT interventions for physical, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges.
  • Deliver therapy in areas such as ADL/IADL training, cognitive rehab, vocational therapy, leisure and recreation.
  • Monitor and document progress every 3–6 months, or as clinically required.
  • Recommend assistive devices and environmental modifications to support client independence.
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Provide caregiver training and post-discharge support plans.
Supervisory Duties
  • Supervise and guide OT aides, therapy assistants, nursing aides, and students.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and competency assessments.
  • Support staff development through training and ongoing mentorship.
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Ensure timely documentation and compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Manage OT-related equipment, requisitions, and maintenance.
  • Foster teamwork across departments including Nursing, MSW, HR, and Finance.
  • Promote and integrate ASH’s core values and therapy practices across services.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with AHPC (Singapore)
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred

  • Passion for working with elderly and individuals with special needs
  • Familiarity with ILTC and community care frameworks is an advantage
  • Willing to travel between centres
  • Fluent in spoken Chinese to communicate with Chinese residents and clients
