A leading data center operator in Singapore is seeking a Network & System Director to drive the strategic direction and management of OT and network infrastructure. You will oversee the development of a high-performing team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure operational excellence. Candidates should have 15+ years of experience in OT and network systems, with a strong background in managing mission-critical environments. Excellent leadership and strategic planning skills are a must for this role.
Our client is a leading Data Center operator working closely with hyperscalers across APAC, expanding aggressively (beyond 200MW expansion in plan for the next couple of years), currently seeking for a Network & System Director to join their expanding team. They are working with most of the leading hyperscalers and have around a billion USD in funding to help their rapid expansion.
Provide strategic direction and hands-on management for all OT and network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing in-house OT & Network team.
Manage relationships and performance of external vendors and partners to and project execution.
Design, implement, operate, monitor, and optimize the OT and network infrastructure with a steadfast focus on reliability, security (data confidentiality/integrity), and performance.
Establish, enforce, and continuously improve rigorous processes and procedures for system/network upgrades, implementations, and maintenance.
Guarantee high system availability and architect rapid recovery solutions for any operational outages.
Conduct comprehensive system and network analyses; recommend and oversee technology upgrades to meet evolving business needs.
Develop and lead the strategy for digitalization and data analytics initiatives to improve operational resiliency and efficiency.
Identify, justify, and implement IT applications and automation solutions to enhance our value proposition.
Analyze connectivity requirements, develop implementation plans, and create tools to optimize network operations and costs.
Own all aspects of OT/network-related audits, including internal, external, and cybersecurity audits.
Ensure all infrastructure and practices comply with established standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Plan, monitor, and manage the department's operating and capital project budgets effectively.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree is a plus.
15+ years of progressive experience in OT and network systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a mission-critical environment (Data Centers environment highly preferable, etc.).
Deep domain expertise in Data Center OT ecosystems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), and IoT platforms.
Proven technical mastery of OT/IT network technologies, protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, SNMP), and security architectures specific to industrial/DC environments.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and managing large-scale OT/network projects from conception to completion.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Proven ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on system stability and security.
