A leading financial services firm in Singapore seeks an Intermediate JAVA Developer with at least 4 years of experience. Your role involves developing and supporting applications for managing market data integrations. Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot is crucial, alongside knowledge of NEOXAM or Asset Control. The candidate must also have good communication skills to liaise with business analysts and support L3 operations. This position may require weekend support on demand.

One of the pivotal projects in Capital Market application landscape of our Client focuses on managing the market data (static and pricing) integration from external data vendors into bank information systems. This is the central to sourcing & distributing of market data to all other bank systems (like accounting, risk, compliance, FO and BO etc.). It acts as the golden source for the bank.
This role aims to develop on this application, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the “run the bank” function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.

The candidate should have analytical and problem solving skills, a pro‑active mindset in security, proven ability to work individually under pressure. Team player with good interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Besides having great development experience, a senior developer will be expected to make complex architectural decisions that balance difficult trade‑offs and defend those decisions to management and clients within the bank; He or she will be expected to take a leadership role sometimes in the team, mentoring less experienced colleagues and helping them progress.
All candidates, but particularly seniors, will be held to high a standard when it comes to communication, both oral and written. You should have good expository style, be able to explain yourself clearly and concisely, especially when the subject is technical and complex. It goes without saying that your English must be extremely fluent.
