Job description

We are seeking a highly experiencedNacelle Specialist (Chief Engineer)to lead a nacelle OEM design program. This is a confidential search for a senior leadership role that will oversee the design, development, certification, and support of nacelle systems for large-body aircraft (comparable to Airbus A350 and Boeing 787).

This position requires proven technical authority in nacelle design, includinginlet (with anti-icing system)andthrust reverser, as well as strong leadership capabilities to guide and mentor a team of 80–100 engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Providetechnical leadershipand mentorship to the nacelle engineering team.

  • Oversee design and development of nacelle components, ensuring compliance withFAA/EASAcertification standards (CAAC advantageous).

  • Lead program milestones includingPDR, CDR, testing, and prototyping.

  • Establish nacelle work scope, framework, and mitigation plans within the first 6–12 months.

  • Collaborate with engine OEMs and strategic suppliers to ensure technical quality and program success.

  • Drive continuous improvement through fleet performance monitoring and technical enhancements.

Period:

  • 3-year contract + 2-year renewal (not permanent)

Salary:

  • Up to $16,000

Working Hours

  • Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm

Location:

  • Paya Lebar

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 15–20 years’ experience in nacelle design, development, and certification.

  • Prior nacelle-specific experience is mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA certification (CAAC experience is a plus).

  • Skilled in project management and engineering tools (CATIA, Ansys, MSC).

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder influence, and mentorship abilities.
