Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent studies.
• Ability to deal with customers and knowledge in administering Insurance Claims.
• Good knowledge about cars and its components, paint and bodywork equipment, warranty processing.

Responsibilities

• Review vehicle repair history and highlight any unusual or repeated issues.
• Prepare work orders based on vehicle diagnosis.
• Verify and update customer details and vehicle records.
• Conduct vehicle reception checks with customers.
• Advise customers on insurance claim options.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review vehicle repair history and highlight any unusual or repeated issues to the Workshop Manager or Senior Motor Claims Advisor

• Prepare work orders based on vehicle diagnosis, including job scope, specifications, and labour rates

• Verify and update customer details and vehicle records in the system (GDMS)

• Conduct vehicle reception checks with customers for all body and paint repair jobs

• Advise customers on insurance claim options and assist with claims processing

• Liaise and negotiate with surveyors and insurance companies on repair scope and labour charges

• Prepare accurate accident repair estimates and supplementary quotations when required

• Explain repair costs, obtain customer approval, and secure signatures on work orders

• Promote workshop services, parts, and accessories when appropriate

• Coordinate with the workshop foreman and planners to monitor repair progress and meet promised timelines

• Perform final quality and cleanliness checks before vehicle handover

• Inform customers when vehicles are ready for collection and explain invoices and payment options

• Handle customer requests professionally and escalate complex matters to management when needed

• Maintain a clean and organised Body & Paint reception area
