Job summary

A marine services company in Singapore is seeking a Marine Assistant responsible for mooring operations, including handling mooring lines and assisting in cargo loading and discharging. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the marine industry, be physically fit, and possess relevant WSQ certifications. Working hours are 12-hour shifts, and all operations require readiness to respond to emergencies, ensuring safety at the wharf.

Qualifications

  • Preferably having 2 years of working experience, especially in the marine industry.
  • Able to work 12 hrs shift.
  • Possession of WSQ certificates is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle mooring lines in making fast/casting off vessels.
  • Connect/disconnect cargo/fresh water hoses.
  • Assist in cargo loading/discharging operations.
  • Perform ullaging of storage tanks.
  • Check on vessel’s mooring during operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness at wharf.

WSQ certified for Perform Rigger and Signalman Tasks
WSQ certified to Supervise Safe Lifting Operations
WSQ certified for Perform Work At Height
WSQ certified for Perform Work in Confined Space Operation

Education
