Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Planning
    • Develop detailed fabrication drawings and specifications for sheet metal components, assemblies, and structures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
    • Ensure designs meet technical standards, manufacturing feasibility, and client requirements.
  2. Material Selection
    • Select appropriate metals and materials based on mechanical properties, cost-effectiveness, and application requirements.
  3. Production Coordination and Scheduling
    • Assist in day‑to‑day production tracking, order scheduling, and related production administration tasks.
    • Schedule and plan all production orders to ensure timely completion and alignment with project delivery schedules.
    • Monitor production progress and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Process Development
    • Plan and improve fabrication processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and manufacturability of components.
    • Support the implementation of best practices and process standardization.
  5. Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless coordination of fabrication activities.
    • Liaise with suppliers and contractors where necessary to resolve technical or material‑related issues.
  6. Quality Assurance
    • Verify that designs and fabricated parts comply with engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
    • Support quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and ensure high fabrication standards.
  7. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall fabrication performance.
    • Contribute to process optimization and innovation initiatives within the engineering and production teams.
