A leading chemical manufacturing company in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has between 3 to 5 years of experience in a chemical plant environment and a background in Mechanical Engineering. This position includes overseeing vendor relations, inventory management, and implementing long-term maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability. Coordinate daily maintenance: Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring seamless collaboration between contractors and internal teams.
Troubleshoot equipment: Investigate and resolve technical issues, implementing both corrective and preventive measures to maintain optimal equipment performance.
Manage vendor relations: Liaise with in‑house and external contractors for routine services and major shutdown maintenance, coordinating work plans and facilitating communication.
Enhance reliability: Contribute to long‑term maintenance strategies, working alongside production teams and contractors to improve equipment reliability and prevent recurring issues.
Support inventory management: Monitor spare parts inventory and assist with procurement processes for tools, parts, and maintenance services.
Ensure compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ISO standards and internal SOPs, supporting the company's commitment to quality and safety.
Promote safety: Uphold EHS policies and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment, helping to minimize potential hazards.
Educational background: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical knowledge.
Industry experience: Bring at least 3–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Engineer in a chemical plant environment.
Technical expertise: Possess hands‑on troubleshooting experience with chemical plant equipment and a strong understanding of maintenance technology.
Process knowledge: Demonstrate a basic understanding of mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes in the chemical industry.
Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 8:30am - 5:15pm (OT is expected)
Working Location: Jurong Island (Transport pick up at Jurong East MRT)
