Responsible for execution of all statutory and non-statutory mechanical maintenance of Balance of Plant equipment (Tank farms & entire cooling water system, chemical plants, instrument and service air compressors) of all CCP and respond to unplanned machinery breakdown to achieve high reliability, availability and efficiency.
Your Role
- First line troubleshooting of CCP mechanical defects and abnormalities. Carry out remedial actions or improvements jointly formulated with Engineering Section
- Prepare Air Receiver for Statutory Inspection by MOM approved Authorized Examiner to carry out:
- Visual inspection and witnessing of running test of the air receiver and its safety valve(s)
- Hydrostatic test / ultrasonic thickness gauging (UTG) test of the air receiver
- Work with relevant authorities for timely inspection and testing, in accordance with statutory records and expiry dates of Pressure Vessels – Air Receiver
- Carry out preventive maintenance work at site
- Attend to unexpected findings during inspections / overhauls with advice of Engineering Section
- Participate in recommissioning of equipment jointly with other sections/OEM
- Procure all spares and services as required under OPEX budget after approval
- Certify goods receipt and work completion and process completion certificate to facilitate payments
- Work with Asset Support for timely inspection and testing, in accordance with statutory records and expiry dates of lifting equipment & safety equipment, tracked by Engineering Asset Planning Unit
- Carry out site refurbishment and upgrading works, based on Engineering Section recommendations
- Carry out acceptance tests to verify effectiveness of refurbishment and upgrade
- Conduct risk assessment exercise prior to start work
- Ensure control measures identified are implemented and verified during daily toolbox meeting
- Identify and procure safety equipment and complement safe work practices within section upon approval
- Inspection of safety equipment (PPE, etc.) and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Carry out Work based on Instructions / OJT blueprints
- Identify the training needs for individual subordinate officers and procure necessary trainings
- Support and carry out stipulated activities to adhere to ISO / BARS requirements
Your Profile
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board
- Degree: 2years of experience on operational & maintenance aspects of above ground storage tanks, large capacity cooling water pumps and other qualifications as required under the relevant statutory and regulatory Act
- Diploma: 5 – 8 years of experience on operational & maintenance aspects of above ground storage tanks, large capacity cooling water pumps and other qualifications as required under the relevant statutory and regulatory Act
