Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineer to work on system integration and automation designs. You will be responsible for standardization, project planning, and prototype testing. Ideal candidates should have at least a diploma or degree in engineering, relevant experience, and strong knowledge in mechanical components and systems. Bilingualism in English and Chinese is required for effective collaboration. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex design projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsiblities

Perform concept and designs in area of system integration and automation of machines to meet the system specifications (required by process / automation needs) involving:

• Design standardization, costing and project planning
• Machine and module conceptualization design, design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and concurrent engineering
• Detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings
• Selection and sizing of standard components available off the shelf
• Undertake prototype testing studies according to accepted practice and design standards
• Document all design work, BOM list and preparation of manual according to design standards and company procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience
• Bilingual in English and Chinese for effective communication with our Mandarin-speaking associates/counterparts
• Preferably 3D solid Modeling
• Strong knowledge in mechanical components, servo system, pneumatic system and sensors
• Good track record in the following areas would be advantageous: Ultra high precision machine design, high speed pick and place mechanism design, Structural, kinematics and dynamic analysis and FEA simulation, Geometrical tolerance and dimensional analysis (e.g stack up error), Engineering material selection, Design troubleshooting, application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE, Knowledge in semiconductor front end and back end process
• Working knowledge of ISO standards, procedures and manufacturing practices
