Job description

Filmhouse is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our pioneer team – one who is equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute. This is a role that combines both managerial ownership and day-to-day marketing execution, ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a small, passionate and creative organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
  • Conceptualise, plan and execute marketing campaigns for:
    • Film programmes and events
    • Cinema F&B
    • Loyalty programmes
    • Brand, partnerships and sponsorship initiatives
    • Venue hire
  • Drive awareness, ticket sales, audience growth and customer loyalty through integrated campaigns.
  • Monitor ticket sales and campaign performance closely, adjusting strategies to optimise outcomes.
  • Ensure marketing efforts support wider business and revenue goals across departments.
Branding, Content & Creative Direction
  • Oversee and execute marketing communications across all platforms, including social media, eDMs, website, print and on-site materials.
  • Write copy for campaigns, announcements and brand communications.
  • Source for and work closely with designers, copywriters and other collaborators to deliver creative assets, if and where necessary.
  • Conceptualise and lead on-site activations for audience engagement.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
  • Plan, schedule and execute eDMs and social media content.
  • Track performance across ticketing, digital platforms and paid advertising.
  • Consolidate performance and engagement reports, and recommend improvements.
  • Manage digital advertising spend within budget.
Media & Partnerships
  • Lead press outreach, previews and earned media opportunities.
  • Draft press releases and manage media interview requests.
  • Identify and execute partnerships with cultural, community and brand partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with colleagues from Programming, F&B, & Venue Hire teams.
  • Manage marketing workflows, requests and priorities across departments.
  • Provide timely updates and marketing insights for the team and senior management.
Budget & Administration
  • Propose, manage and track the marketing budget, including ad spend and production costs.
  • Support customer communications where needed (e.g. social media queries) in collaboration with the Front-of-House team.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting and archival of marketing materials and data.
Who we’re looking for:
  • Diploma or degree in marketing, arts management or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marketing
  • Strong interest in film, arts, culture and community
  • Strong in copywriting, campaign execution and coordination
  • Good experience with social media platforms and digital marketing, including running ad campaigns on Meta.
  • Creative with a good visual eye and affinity for storytelling
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Proactive, with good organisational skills and multitasking abilities
  • Confident working in lean teams with multiple priorities
