This leadership opportunity is for the Construction Industries (CI) segment, which supports customers using machinery in infrastructure and building construction applications. Together with the dealer network, the segment is committed to delivering an easy‑to‑buy, easy‑to‑own customer experience through innovative products, services and technology.
The Marketing Director will lead a global marketing team in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive engagement, advocacy and demand for Caterpillar’s Construction Industries products, services and solutions. The role serves as the primary liaison between CI and other business‑unit marketing teams, playing a pivotal role in global marketing initiatives.
Oversee digital and in‑person experiences such as customized dealer programs, trade shows, customer visits and training programs.
Collaborate with product managers and regional sales teams to identify critical marketing needs and guide the creation of tailored, region‑specific solutions.
Lead direct‑to‑customer marketing promotions of products and services through various channels, emphasizing digital expertise and target marketing to expand reach and meet customers’ demands.
Collaborate cross‑functionally and develop comprehensive brand positioning, messaging, creative and program executions that prioritize customer acquisition, retention and growth, putting the customer at the center of all communication touchpoints.
Develop and lead a team; foster a high‑performance, highly engaged culture.
Leverage continuous analysis of the marketplace and customer trends; provide insight, recommendations and strategies based on data.
Create and manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation; continuously optimize marketing efforts to drive improved business results.
Prepare periodic business reviews and market assessments to influence decision‑making, track results and improve performance.
Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions, and the ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to Caterpillar’s long‑term incentive plan. Relocation is available.
