Summary
This position is responsible for the management of the Marketing & Communications team in the key areas of media coverage, collateral and publications, special events/promotions, community relations and advertising.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop strong understanding of brand guidelines across all areas and ensuring implementation across all communication channels to meet brand standards.
- Execution of B2C and B2B marketing communication strategy across all marketing channels.
- Implement a comprehensive Digital Marketing and Social Media strategy to increase bookings and traffic to hotel website.
- Develop SEM campaigns and strengthen organic SEO initiatives.
- Establish good working relationships with local and international media and host media familiarisations.
- Implementation of marketing partnership, public relations and promotional campaigns to create awareness, drive occupancy and revenue, and build customer loyalty.
- Maintain current media lists: local and international travel, leisure, lifestyle, entertainment, business and food editors.
- Execute media placements for hotel through news releases and personal contacts.
- Develop business and leisure travel promotions; release to press and/or target audience.
- Explore valuable media trades where appropriate.
- Develop Award strategy.
- Serve as hotel spokesperson, when appointed by General Manager, to make all official statements for hotel to media, especially during crisis situations.
- Maintain the media gallery with up-to-date imagery and press releases.
- Regular update of hotel website and all online sites to ensure accuracy and on brand.
- Develop engaging media-rich content for distribution to the media/social media platforms. Monitor news coverage and circulate internally.
- Establish PR & Communications programs that will benefit and support Rooms, Events and F&B strategies and initiatives. Amplify exposure and creating trademark of the product as to own the space.
- Engaging with Director of Sales and Marketing in developing and producing sales support materials for hotel (newsletters, brochures, mailers, promotion materials, in-room information, guides, etc.). Planning and strategizing to execute rooms initiatives on sales activities or digitally.
- Engaging with the Food and Beverage team in the development, strategizing collaboration in partnership leveraging the calendar of events. Offering creativity in partnership or promotion to drive F&B sales, with collaterals and promotions in place.
- Planning and execute partnerships, brand collaborations to maximise opportunities to promote F&B, Rooms or any revenue stream within the hotel.
- Contribute to employee newsletter, announcements and other printed materials published by the Talent & Culture department.
- Manage and execute all printed, digitally, photography or communication for the hotel to be aligned with its brand standards.
- Arrange and manage photography for F&B, Rooms promotions and key events in the hotel.
- Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Require working beyond office hours, weekends/public holidays as and when is required by the Management
- Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Marketing Communications / Public Relations or 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & Powerpoint.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly reliable in thorough execution and follow-through.
- Ability to work well in stressful & high-pressure situations.
- A team player & builder.
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
