The Market Access Senior Manager is responsible for setting and achieving market access and policy shaping goals in collaboration with the Medical Essentials and Connected Care Segments. This role is part of the Greater Asia organization and reports to the VP International Affairs and works closely with global and regional Public Affairs teams to align business unit and regional marketing priorities to drive business impact and strategic importance. The Senior Manager leads the development and execution of market shaping projects, policy shaping initiatives, driving stakeholder engagement and fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Market Access Senior Manager will support the development of market access and payer value strategies for product portfolios in the Medical Essentials and Connected Care Segments, plan an integral part in new product development (NPD) planning and will collaborate with internal functions to ensure BD products secure market access and payment based on aligned business directions.
Work with Global and Local Market Access, Medical Affairs, HEOR and Regulatory Affairs functions to develop market access strategy for the region and gain alignment with regional businesses.
Work with country teams to map out funding pathways and stakeholders for acute and non‑acute care settings and help internal stakeholders to navigate the funding pathways for BD portfolios.
Monitor the shifts of funding/payment policies in the region, identify opportunities to BD portfolio and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Develop and execute Market Access and Market Shaping ASR Plans in partnership with global business leadership, regional business and marketing, Strategic Access Leader and medical affairs.
Serve as project manager for prioritized market access projects, provide periodical updates, and work with project sponsors to meet project timeline.
Develop tools to support the engagement of external market access audiences including payers, policy makers and domain experts to elevate BD’s profile and shape regulations and guidelines.
Conduct stakeholder mapping and build strong relationships with vendors and external partners, including governments and professional societies.
Lead the exchange of resources and insights regionally and globally to create synergy and utilize strategic collaterals.
Lead reimbursement submissions where local capability is not present.
Oversee country and regional market shaping shared service requests and develop collaboration models with global teams.
Provide technical advice, consultation and training and strategic direction to countries requiring support for local market shaping and policy development activities, in alignment with global and regional priorities.
Promote a growth mindset and encourage talent development through project opportunities.
Drive thought leadership externally, strengthening partnerships with government, NGOs, professional societies, and academia.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Comprehensive knowledge on the healthcare systems, payer value drivers, and health technology assessment requirement in the Greater Asia region
Demonstrated project management and communication skills that have been leveraged in internal and external business settings
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other corporate functions
Collaborative, strategic, problem solving oriented, and self‑driven
5+ years of experience in healthcare or policy disciplines
Prior experience in medical device industry and
BA/BS (4‑year degree) required; advanced degree desirable
