Job summary

Job description
  • Position: Marine Personnel Officer (Crewing)

  • Location: Shenton Way

  • Working hours: 5 Days Work Week (9am to 5.30pm)

  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,200 + VB

  • Duration: Permanent

  • Industry: Shipping

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with vessels, port agents, manning agents, and external stakeholders on all marine personnel and crewing-related operational matters.
  • Coordinate and manage crew changes for assigned vessels, ensuring smooth, timely, and cost-effective execution.
  • Plan, arrange, communicate, and monitor crew embarkation and disembarkation schedules.
  • Ensure all seafarers’ certifications, licenses, and documentation comply with STCW, flag state, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, flag requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Administer and update the ship management / crewing system in accordance with company procedures.
  • Handle crewing-related administrative matters, including appraisal reports, P&I documentation, port and travel invoices.
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal reporting related to marine personnel where required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager or Department Head.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ or ‘A’ Level qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in marine crewing or marine personnel operations.
  • Hands‑on experience with multi‑national crew management and a strong understanding of STCW requirements and international crewing regulations.
  • Good knowledge of flag state and statutory requirements for seafarers.
  • Sea‑going experience as an Officer will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
