Job summary

A leading technology manufacturer in Singapore is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure quality standards are met. You will lead a team of skilled machinists and technicians while maintaining strong compliance with safety and production processes. The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of experience in precision machining and a background in supervision. Qualifications

  • 3–7 years’ experience in precision machining (CNC milling, turning, grinding, EDM) with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
  • Solid knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute daily production activities.
  • Lead and supervise machinists and technicians across CNC and manual processes.
  • Ensure all parts conform to drawing tolerances and customer specifications.
  • Allocate manpower and oversee shift operations.
  • Ensure machines, tools, and gauges are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Enforce workplace safety practices and 5S standards.
  • Participate in Lean, Kaizen, SPC, and waste-reduction initiatives.

Job Summary
  • Location: Tampines Industrial Crescent

  • Salary: Basic up to $7000 + AWS

  • Working Hours: 5 days per week

Job Responsibilities

1. Production Management

· Plan, schedule, and execute daily production activities.

· Ensure production output meets quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.

· Monitor machine utilization, OEE performance, and capacity status.

· Work closely with Production Control/Planning teams to align production loading.

2. Shopfloor Supervision

· Lead and supervise machinists and technicians across CNC and manual processes.

· Ensure proper setup, tooling, fixturing, and process control are in place.

· Maintain shopfloor discipline and adherence to SOPs and work instructions.

3. Quality Assurance

· Ensure all parts conform to drawing tolerances and customer specifications.

· Collaborate with QA/QC teams on non-conformance handling and corrective actions.

· Promote first-piece inspection, in-process checks, and patrol inspections.

4. Workforce Management & Training

· Allocate manpower and oversee shift operations.

· Train operators on machine operation, safety standards, and quality requirements.

· Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and skill development.

5. Equipment & Maintenance

· Ensure machines, tools, and gauges are properly maintained and calibrated.

· Coordinate with Maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.

· Monitor tool wear and support planning for replacements.

6. Safety & Compliance

· Enforce workplace safety practices and 5S standards.

· Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards, customer requirements, and internal policies.

· Support incident reporting and implement safety improvements.

7. Continuous Improvement

· Participate in Lean, Kaizen, SPC, and waste-reduction initiatives.

· Implement improvements in cycle time, setup time, and process stability.

· Contribute to productivity and cost-reduction projects.

Job Qualifications
  • Diploma or technical qualification in Precision Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • 3–7 years’ experience in precision machining (CNC milling, turning, grinding, EDM) with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.

  • Solid knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and fixtures.

  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T, and apply strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production reporting tools.
