A local plastic manufacturer in Singapore with nearly 40 years of providing one-stop solutions for precision plastic parts in the medical industry is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with supervisors and molding technicians to improve quality and output of mold components.
  • Optimizing mold operation parameters and ensuring manufacturing tolerances are consistently met.
  • Monitoring the condition of molds and related equipment, and preparing periodic status reports.
  • Supporting the design engineering team in developing automated processes for increased efficiency.
  • Assisting the Injection Molding Engineering Supervisor in setting realistic goals and budgets.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to mold fabrication, tooling, and production, while providing clear recommendations.
  • Participating in the validation of machines and molds to ensure cost and quality targets are achieved.
  • Helping train and develop technical staff in both legacy and new technologies.
  • Coordinating special projects that align with departmental goals in quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Taking on ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Higher qualifications in Engineering (preferably in Tool & Die, Metal Fabrication, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a related manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong foundation in precision engineering and a keen eye for quality.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently.
  • A proactive team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other basic technical tools.
  • Ideally suited for a Junior Executive level candidate with experience in manufacturing or production operations.
