Job summary

A dynamic insurance brokerage is seeking a results-driven Manager/Vice President of Business Development for corporate insurance and employee benefits. This role is focused on driving growth, managing relationships with insurers, and developing strategic marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the industry, strong sales skills, and a relevant degree. Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead business development initiatives for corporate insurance and employee benefits programs. This role focuses on driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and acquire new accounts to expand market presence.
  • Broking & Program Management: Review, enhance, market, and place insurance programs; recommend innovative designs tailored to client requirements.
  • Lead Generation: Develop and convert leads into long-term customers.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with insurers and key stakeholders.
  • Sales Execution: Achieve individual sales targets and deliver new business growth.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Plan and oversee marketing strategies, staying ahead of market trends and product evolution.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities for cross-selling within internal departments.
  • Growth Strategy: Develop and implement strategies focused on financial performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate insurance or employee benefits.
  • Strong ability to build networks with prospects, market players, and opinion leaders.
  • Proven expertise in lead generation and conversion.
  • Advanced sales and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and close deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Academic Qualifications
  • Degree-level education in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
  • Relevant Insurance Certifications such as CII, CGI, HI, M5, and M9/ M9A
