JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Director, TTSH Inpatient Operations, the Assistant Manager, TTSH Inpatient Operations will supports the department to achieve the hospital's TTSH20230 strategy for patients and our staff through transforming care and process redesign, leveraging technology for digitalisation and redesigning jobs for sustainability.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To support the Director and Assistant Director in the planning bed demand/inpatient services and implementation of bed supply/inpatient services including infrastructure projects and IT projects.
  • To support the Director and Assistant Director in the implementation of Hospital without Walls 2.0 through the Inpatient Journey Strategic Innovation Programmes and its projects.
  • To partner and support Nursing Service's ADN(s) and SNM(s) in ICU, HD and General Wards for care and process redesign, IT and automation redesign and job redesign initiatives in Main TTSH and TTSH Wards at Ren Ci.
  • To be a steward of change for Hospital / Department level initiatives; to transform the way we deliver care to our patients, leverage technology for digitalisation and redesign jobs for meaningful work.
  • To establish and actualise reasonable short term and long term goals for the team, which are aligned with hospital's strategies and priorities. This includes initiate concept, develop timeline, execute procurement, monitor process, budget management and evaluating outcomes for projects/initiatives.
  • To support the department in the Hospital level administrative planning and execution, including annual budgeting, annual Learning Needs Analysis (LNA), annual Total Performance Review (TPM), documentation review and assets review.
  • To provide guidance and engage each staff and the team as a whole, through communicating clear job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching and counselling staff; in order to achieve the team's goals and staff's personal growth.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops/seminars/training and establishing social networks to support the Hospital / Department.
  • Be involved in other special projects as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Reporting Officer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and above
  • Minimum at least 5 years of relevant experience, of which preferably at least 2 years in a supervisory position (preferably in the healthcare industry and in a large organisation).
  • Experience in leading a team.
  • Possess experience in operational processes, quality management or policy planning. Prior experience or knowledge in hospital operations is preferred.
