What the role is:

The Community Relations Unit (CRU) is piloting a new concept of operations to tackle severe neighbour noise disputes and hoarding cases. These include cases where noise is used deliberately to cause distress to surrounding neighbours, and cases where the behaviours that cause noise could be due to an underlying mental health condition. Your primary roles will be in case management and operations policy and planning.

What you will be working on:

Your key responsibilities would include the following:

  • Managing and working to resolve complex neighbour noise cases by gathering facts, assessing and triaging cases, and coordinating actions with partner agencies.
  • Developing and strengthening CRU’s systems and processes, including operational workflows, IT systems, and equipment, to enable operations to run effectively and efficiently.
  • You may also contribute to reviewing the pilot and shaping how this model could be scaled sustainably.
  • This is a unique opportunity to shape a pioneering approach to resolving complex neighbour disputes. Your work will directly improve the lives of residents and preserve harmony in the community.
