Job description

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused manager to join our team in delivering secondment services. The successful candidate will be assigned to our client’s office for a period of 18 months, assuming the responsibilities of a finance manager, overseeing financial operations, and upholding our firm's commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Upon completion of the secondment, the candidate may return to our firm’s outsourcing team to continue contributing and supporting a portfolio of clients and projects within our office.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to a client’s financial operations and transit into a broader compliance and consultative position, supporting a diverse portfolio of international companies. You will also gain valuable insights into managing a fast-growing, entrepreneurial service line.

As a key member of the management team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing client experience, providing technical support, fostering staff development, and ensuring overall team success. You will lead a team of professionals, sharing your technical expertise to help them develop and grow, acting as their coach and mentor. You will also take responsibility for your team’s service delivery, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage clients' daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to relevant local regulations.
  • Coordinate financial closing activities across stakeholders.
  • Prepare group reporting package and consolidation reports.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements.
  • Authorise payments, upholding robust internal controls and comprehensive documentation.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns and CIT in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the seamless completion of annual audits.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the firm's management team to uphold consistent service quality and effective governance.
  • Supervise and support the provision of accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of international clients.
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of clients' businesses to deliver timely, relevant reports and advice, fostering strong “Trusted Business Advisor” relationships.
  • Ensure all firm quality and risk procedures are understood and followed by team members.
  • Mentor and coach staff, supporting their ongoing professional development and well‑being.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and other additional tasks when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory level, preferably from a professional services firm in an Accounting/Outsourcing/Client Accounting/Audit environment.
  • Hands‑on “doer” mentality – comfortable owning deliverables end‑to‑end.
  • Deep understanding of Singapore compliance requirements including accounting, tax, audit is a definite advantage.
  • Strong and extensive technical accounting knowledge in group consolidation, GST, and Singapore/International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential; Familiarity with XERO, SAP is an advantage.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
