Job summary

A leading energy and urban solutions provider in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Maintenance professional for their Power Plant. The role involves performing corrective maintenance, conducting inspections, and collaborating with engineering teams. Suitable candidates have a minimum ITE in Mechanical Engineering and ideally possess relevant experience, although training is available for new entrants. This is a 2-year contract role, with opportunities for personal development and impact in energy transition.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ITE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant maintenance experience in a Power Plant.
  • Candidates with no experience are welcome; training will be provided.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Perform corrective Mechanical Maintenance on all Power Plant Stationary and Rotary Equipment as assigned by Mechanical Engineer / Supervisor.
  2. Conduct inspections according to the daily maintenance schedule; address defects and breakdowns, including repairing and calibrating Mechanical Equipment.
  3. Disassemble and assemble Mechanical Equipment, Gas turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSG, BOP, and WWT for repairs or rehabilitation.
  4. Hands-on experience with valves, pumps, compressors, piping, safety valves, control & shutoff valves, etc.
  5. Assist Mechanical Engineers in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and failure analysis to determine causes of failure.
  6. Help develop Risk Assessments and mitigation measures for maintenance jobs.
  7. Apply for Permit to Work (PTW) as the Competent Person (CP) for maintenance activities.
  8. Supervise contractors and coordinate with maintenance crafts and technicians to execute tasks.
  9. Manage spare parts from the warehouse for job execution.
  10. Provide daily updates on maintenance activities to stakeholders, including operations.
  11. Potentially join the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (training provided).
