Job summary

A leading aviation services provider in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee quality service levels and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include planning maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and conducting root cause analyses on breakdowns. The ideal candidate should have a degree in engineering and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a relevant field, preferably within the automotive or airport ground support equipment industry.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant discipline preferably in automotive or airport ground support equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Additional training or work experience in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality service level and rapid response to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Plan and delegate daily maintenance work to teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on critical equipment breakdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and health policies.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure high quality service level, ensuring rapid response to minimize downtime of equipment as part of maintenance planning and control
  • Plan and delegates daily Preventive Maintenance / Corrective Maintenance work to supervisor/ work teams
  • Plan advance preventive maintenance or corrective maintenance work to minimise equipment downtimeDo recommendation and approval for all ordering spare parts for all equipment
  • Ensures safety policies, practices, administration are enforced and complied during work
  • Ensures all recovery tools and equipment in operational readiness etc.
  • Ensures all workshop facilities and housekeeping are in good working condition
  • Engaging communication with OEM and suppliers for technical support or quotation for additional repairs
  • Conduct root cause analysis on critical equipment breakdowns and provide recommendation for the preventive of recurrence of the breakdowns
  • Prepare Critical Problem Report for all equipment breakdown on flight
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head
Requirements
  • Minimum Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Preferably with additional training and / or work experience in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and processes which are necessary for the competent maintenance of automatic and/or semi-automatic equipment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant discipline prefers from automotive or airport ground support equipment industry
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Must possess strong skills in project management and workshop service centre operations
  • Must possess strong skills in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Root Cause Analysis
  • Must possess minimum LTA Class 3 driving license and above
  • Must possess Microsoft Office, SAP and report writing skills.
