Job Description
The MEP Engineer is responsible for all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering activities, processes, and construction of projects.
- Monitor and report on the progress of work to project manager;
- Control the progress of RFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion.
- Coordinate with client’s representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters, including submission of method statement, drawings, materials, samples and work progress;
- Control site progress & installation quality as per approved Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Schedule for on-time completion.
- Carry out inspection of MEP works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works;
- Assist in supervising and coordinating MEP services work closely with other departments;
- Assist for submission of evaluation of progress claim, variation work to M&E Manager;
- Participate in all relevant project review meetings, site meetings, design meetings, and other project relevant meetings;
- Responsible for carrying out M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record.
- Responsible for M&E drawing coordination and production of CSD and individual service drawings quality.
- Responsible for conducting QA/QC inspection, managing RE, RTO and responsible for clearing QA/QC inspections to meet with construction schedule.
- Provide and maintain all site inspection records & T&C records up to date.
- Ensure quality of MEP workmanship and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, recognized by PE Board Singapore;
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience related projects in Singapore building and construction industry;
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering experience in HDB projects or high-rise developments;
- Possess strong Electrical/Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experiences;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with site teams to execute work.
