Job summary

A regional technology service provider in Singapore is looking for a dedicated support engineer to provide 24 x 7 services in Data Center operations. The role requires assisting customers with incident resolution and implementing technology updates. Applicants should possess a degree in Computer Science or related fields, have a minimum of one year of experience, and be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays. ITIL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24 x 7 support for the Data Center operating on 12-hour shifts.
  • Assist the customer with logged incidents and problems.
  • Resolve incidents and problems onsite.
  • Escalate unsolvable problems to the appropriate team.
  • Generate relevant administrative records and reports.
  • Integrate new technologies into existing environments.
  • Maintain system configuration and implement Service Requests and Change Requests.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Provide 24 x 7 support for the Data Center operating on 12‑hour shifts.
  • Assist the customer in verifying, isolating, and/or provisioning a temporary workaround for logged incidents and problems.
  • Resolve incidents and problems onsite.
  • Escalate unsolvable problems and service requests to the System and/or Software Engineer and report the escalation to the Project Manager.
  • Generate relevant administrative records and reports.
  • Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing environments.
  • Apply operating‑system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Add, remove, or update user account information, reset passwords, etc.
  • Answer technical queries.
  • Maintain the configuration of the system.
  • Implement Service Requests and Change Requests.
  • Contact OEM/Vendor for technical support.
Requirements
  • Possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure operation.
  • Good knowledge of the following products is advantageous:
    • Linux
    • Unix
    • Active Directory/DNS
    • Microsoft Azure Stack
    • Microsoft Windows 2016‑2022
    • Commvault Backup and Recovery
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection
  • ITIL certification is an advantage.
  • Able to perform 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
