Job summary

A leading IT service provider in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide 24x7 support for their Data Center, working on a 12-hour shift. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or IT and at least one year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include resolving incidents, troubleshooting issues, and implementing service requests. ITIL certification and knowledge of various operating systems and tools are advantageous. This role requires shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure operation.
  • Able to perform 12-hour shifts work including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 support for Data Center running on a 12-hour shift.
  • Assist the customer in verifying, isolating, and/or providing temporary workarounds for incidents/problems logged.
  • Resolve incidents/problems onsite.
  • Escalate unsolvable problems to the System and/or Software Engineer.
  • Generate relevant administrative records and reports.
  • Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing environments.
  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Update user account information and reset passwords.
  • Answer technical queries.
  • Maintain the configuration of the system.
  • Implement service requests and change requests.
  • Contact OEM/Vendor for technical support.

  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Add, remove, or update user account information, resetting passwords (etc.).
  • Answer technical queries.
  • Maintain the configuration of the system.
  • Implement service requests and change requests.
  • Contact OEM/Vendor for technical support.
Qualifications
  • Possess a degree/diploma in Computer Science/Electronics/IT or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure operation.
  • Good knowledge of the following products will be advantageous:
  • Linux
  • Unix
  • Active Directory/DNS
  • Microsoft Azure Stack
  • Microsoft Windows 2016-2022
  • Commvault Backup and Recovery
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection
  • ITIL certification will be an advantage.
