Role Purpose(s)
The Lead Product Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping the regional product strategy and ensuring alignment between market requirements, customer needs, and global product direction.
This individual acts as a bridge between clients, business development teams, and global product owners, leveraging deep domain expertise in trade compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will combine technical and commercial acumen to drive product evolution, engage with government and enterprise clients, define pricing strategies, and ensure that CrimsonLogic’s trade compliance solutions remain competitive and compliant with regional standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CrimsonLogic’s digital trade compliance suite.
- Translate market, regulatory, and customer requirements into actionable insights for global product teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Engineering to ensure product-market fit and compliance.
- Support pre-sales, solution design, and onboarding for key clients, particularly within complex government or enterprise projects.
- Define and manage commercial frameworks, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies for the region.
- May act as Product Owner for designated sub-products.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Pre-Sales and Customer Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout pre-sales, implementation, and post-go-live stages to ensure seamless adoption of CrimsonLogic’s customs integration solutions.
- Support pre-sales and solution design for key clients, particularly in complex government or enterprise projects.
- Provide training, support, and documentation to clients during implementation and provide operational support for key clients post-implementation, including occasional after-hours assistance.
- Actively monitor client satisfaction and retention metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct market and regulatory research to track trade compliance trends, digital customs initiatives, and regulatory updates across the region.
- Identify market opportunities and product gaps, recommending enhancements to global product teams.
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing structures, and positioning within the trade compliance technology sector.
- Develop and maintain regional pricing guidelines and discount structures.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Global Product Owners, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and legal teams to ensure timely projects delivery and product launch in the region.
- Deliver internal training sessions to Sales and Customer Success teams on product capabilities and market insights.
- Represent CrimsonLogic at industry events, webinars, and customer forums to promote trade compliance solutions.
Product Management
- Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation through release and post-launch optimization.
- Prioritize product features to align with business goals and client needs.
- Collaborate with Engineering to define technical requirements and integrations with customs systems.
- Coordinate with Operations, Support, and Engineering to ensure product performance and scalability.
- Contribute to user story creation, test case drafting, and testing activities.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Working Experience Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in business analysis, product strategy, or customer-facing roles within a software/technology organization, or in the logistics or trade compliance domain.
- Experience in market research, competitive intelligence, and pricing strategy
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience managing or implementing digital regulatory compliance or trade solutions.
- Knowledge of trade compliance frameworks (e.g., export controls, customs declaration systems).
- Experience collaborating with government agencies or large enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and API-based SaaS architectures.
- Experience engaging with China markets and understanding local compliance environments
Skills Required
Must-have skills
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and customer’s needs into functional product specifications.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights.
- Good presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Comfortable working in both structured corporate environments and fast-paced agile teams
- Skilled at working within cross-functional global teams across multiple time zones.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required, as the role involves communicating with clients in China. You may be expected to write proposals in Mandarin.
Preferable skills
- Sound understanding of trade compliance workflows, regulatory frameworks (e.g., export controls, sanctions, customs declaration systems).
- Understanding of SaaS technologies, APIs, cloud-based architecture, and data security requirements.
- Experience using market intelligence platforms or pricing analytics tools is a plus.
