This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as technical lead for all engineering activities related to Automation and Power management systems for offshore projects of low to medium complexity.

The role offers a onsite work model: #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to Offshore Solutions Business within the Process Automation Energy Industries Division and is based in Singapore.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams across different engineering disciplines, both in-house and at the execution center in the region.
  • Reviewing RFQ documents, interpreting PMS schematics and engineering IEC 61850-based systems (MMS and GOOSE) including PMS applications for load shedding, load sharing, Generator Control and synchronization.
  • Designing and Implementing communication networks and schemes for PMS using industrial protocols such as RSTP, HSR, PRP, and MRP etc.
  • Integrating LV/HV switchgear equipment using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet etc.
  • Collaborating on factory acceptance test at different factories, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning at yards and offshore sites.
  • Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting of communication networks using specialized tools (e.g. Wireshark, IED Scout, ITT).
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical or Electronics.
  • Proven hands‑on experience in Automation projects across Oil & Gas or power industries.
  • Familiarity with multiple IEC 61850 editions and cross‑integration techniques.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and their implementation.
  • Experience with ABB 800xA with control builder, PMS library and OPC UA will be an added advantage.
  • Enjoy working in a multi‑cultural environment.
  • Self‑motivated individual with strong English communication skills, eager to build lasting relationships with customers and global stakeholders.
