Job summary

A leading medical institution in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to ensure quality specimen collection, including blood, urine, and stool samples for investigations. The ideal candidate should have at least GCE 'O' Level and preferably a Phlebotomist Certificate. Responsibilities include verifying patient identifiers, preparing the treatment room, and adhering to hospital policies regarding patient safety and performance. Experience in drawing blood specimens is preferred, and good interpersonal skills are a must.

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level education.
  • Preferably certified in venipuncture.
  • 1 year of experience in drawing blood specimen is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collects blood, urine, stool, and other lab samples.
  • Checks and prints orders from the NGEMR System.
  • Prepares treatment room for clinic operations.
  • Ensures correct specimen collection and labeling.
  • Checks daily laboratory reconciliation and rectifies errors.
  • Adheres to patient safety and Infection Control Practices.
  • Participates in quality improvement projects.
