Job description

What the role is:

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption and integration within Home Team systems, acting as a key liaison between the Home Team Department (HTD), Programme Management Centre (PMC), and HTX’s AI Central.

What you will be working on:

• Support HTD's AI Working and Steering Committees in strategic planning and decision-making
• Lead AI initiatives across the PMC by overseeing homeland security and safety AI use cases, and deliver AI solutions to the HTD.
• Work with HTX AI teams, HTX PMG teams and/or vendors to support the full implementation cycle of solutions incorporating AI components, including contracting, system integration, and testing, and ensuring successful deployment in production environments. Provide regular updates to management on project progress, highlighting key milestones, issues, and expenditure.
• Facilitate communication, collaborations and engagements across the HTD and HTX internal stakeholders to support the delivery of systems, with a focus on AI components.
• Review project documents related to AI, such as technical specifications, system design documents, technical interface agreements, various test plans, and test reports. Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
• Ensure that all system-related AI components issues are resolved in a timely manner, minimizing operational impact. Report incidents according to incident management plans and provide timely updates to various stakeholders on major project incidents.

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant disciplines.
• Preferably more than 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Good knowledge in one or more areas in AI technologies (machine learning, NLP, computer vision, LLM, LMM, VLM) coupled with expertise in cloud infrastructure, data integration, and security, demonstrated through relevant certifications, projects, or hands‑on experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in product management is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in stakeholder management across multiple organizational levels.
• Ability to bridge technical and operational perspectives.
• Adaptable and resilient in handling uncertainty, with ability to pivot strategy based on evolving needs and requirements.
• Is able to work independently and as a team.
