Job description
Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client as a Lead Corporate Secretary based in the Central Region. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive corporate secretarial support and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Practice Development: Establish and manage all operational aspects of the corporate secretarial practice, including implementing best-practice procedures, compliance frameworks, and technology platforms.
  • Portfolio Management & Client Advisory: Act as the named Corporate Secretary for a diverse portfolio of clients. Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor on matters of corporate governance, compliance, and the Singapore Companies Act.
  • Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate execution of all statutory filings with ACRA and other relevant authorities. This includes company incorporations, annual returns, preparation of board resolutions and meeting minutes, and maintenance of statutory registers.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and working with the leadership team to develop service offerings.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: As the practice grows, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of corporate secretarial professionals, setting a high standard for quality and professionalism.
  • Strategic & Operational Leadership: Contribute to the overall strategy, financial health, and operational efficiency of the subsidiary as a key member of the leadership team.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A SAICSA/CSIS qualified Chartered Secretary is required. A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in a corporate secretarial role within a professional services firm or corporate service provider in Singapore.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of the Singapore Companies Act, ACRA regulations, and BizFile+.
  • Business Acumen: A strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage a P&L, contribute to business strategy, and provide sound advice to clients.
  • Leadership & Autonomy: A proactive, self-starting professional with proven leadership capabilities and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Client Focus: A commitment to delivering exceptional service and building strong, long-term client relationships based on trust and competence.
