Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Large Diameter Tunnel Specialist with at least 5 years of experience supervising tunnelling operations using large diameter TBMs. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing design and compliance reports, attending site acceptance tests, and providing technical expertise to resolve issues. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is essential. This is a 2-year contract role offering a salary range of $10k to $18k.

Qualifications

Overview

Position: Large Diameter Tunnel Specialist x1 HC

Salary: $10k - $18k

Period: 2 yrs contract

Working Day/hour: 5.5 days / 8.30am - 5.30pm

Job Requirements

• Must min 5 years and above experience on Supervision of Tunnelling works of similar complexity using slurry TBM of more than 10-12m diameters (Large diameter TBM) is a must.
• Tunnel Design Experience - 15 years design experience related to tunnel works, if any.
• Min Bachelor degree in Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or Mining Engineering.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To provide specialist review of method statements, daily reports, records of installation, instrumentation reports, performance of all plants and equipment and any other associated submissions;
• To review the design and fabrication reports of the large diameter TBM and ancillary plants
• To audit the Large TBM compliance with the design and provide specialist review during the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at the manufacturer’s factory overseas
• To attend and provide specialist review on TBM, plant setup and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
• To review tunnelling parameters and instrumentation results throughout the period of tunnelling and to provide comments and recommendation where require.
• To attend any other meetings as required by the Authority’s Project Management Team to resolve coordination, technical, cost and other work-related issues
• To provide monthly and final wrap-up review of TBM performance in relation to design, tunnelling operation parameters, including modifications made to TBM & ancillary plant, processes, troubleshooting, comments & recommendations
• To attend technical, safety and site meetings that require his advices and decision in relation to large diameter tunnelling works.
