Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous, proactive, and dependable Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory, manufacturing and production activities in a GMP‑compliant facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing routine laboratory and quality control procedures according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using aseptic techniques where applicable, maintaining proper documentation, assisting in product manufacture and packaging, and performing other laboratory activities including but not limited to housekeeping, reagent preparation, equipment and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Able to perform all designated activities strictly according to established SOPs.
  • Perform cell culture and other laboratory activities including but not limited to quality control, downstream processing, and bioassays.
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of laboratory equipment and facility.
  • Prepare, label, and document reagents according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Where necessary, assist in manufacturing, dispensing, packaging and labelling of products.
  • Housekeeping activities e.g. washing labware, inventory management, waste disposal.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in logbooks, batch records, and checklists.
  • Support environmental monitoring, inventory management, and routine equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, workflow, safety, and compliance.
Requisite Skills and Qualifications
Education
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
Technical Skills
  • Basic to intermediate experience in mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques with experience in the preparation of cell culture and laboratory reagents and solutions.
  • Competent in basic laboratory techniques such as aseptic techniques, pipetting, reagent preparation, and equipment operation with sound understanding of cleanroom or biosafety practices.
  • Proficient in conducting bioassays according to established protocols.
  • Familiar with operating and maintaining equipment typically found in biological sciences laboratories.
  • Strong hands‑on ability and able to perform routine repetitive work with precision and consistency in controlled environments.
  • Able to understand and adhere to GMP/GLP concepts, documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Able to follow SOPs and batch records with precision, together with good documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work extended hours if required including public holidays and weekends.
