Job summary

A leading recruitment company is seeking Lab Technicians for quality assurance and chemical testing. The role involves sampling, inspection, and maintaining lab equipment. Applicants should have relevant educational qualifications and strong teamwork skills. Positions are available for experienced individuals as well as those with no prior experience. Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of laboratory/QA experience in paints or chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of international paint testing standards is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sampling, inspection, and testing of materials.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality and Safety standards.

Skills

Hands-on experience in paint and raw material testing

2. Lab Technologist (No experience welcomed! QA / Testing / Chemical / Paints)

Working hours: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5.30pm

Location: Jurong West

Salary: Up to 3k + AWS

No exp candidate is welcomed with background of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, or related discipline.

Job Description
  • Responsible for sampling, inspection, testing and release of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure they meet technical specifications.
  • Receive, label and store samples with relevant safety & hazard information.
  • Review incoming Certificate Of Analysis compliance.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies and consumables for smooth operation of laboratory.
  • Responsible for the accuracy, integrity and reliability of laboratory test results generated.
  • Performs regular maintenance and calibration of lab equipment to ensure product testing is validated.
  • Execute all duties faithfully and responsibly in accordance to written procedures and to immediately report all observations of Quality and Safety non‑conformances.
  • Ensure all activities are in continuous compliance with QEHSMS in designated areas of responsibilities.
  • Issue non conformity form to raw material suppliers for any non‑compliance and ensure on‑time closure of form.
  • Provide support and assistance in all internal & external audits.
  • Ensure the workplace 5S, safety and security compliance to safety regulations and company’s safety standards.
  • Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the QA Manager
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of laboratory/QA experience in paints, coatings, or chemical industry
  • Hands‑on experience in paint and raw material testing.
  • Knowledge of international paint testing standards (ASTM, ISO, BS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Familiar with calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical specifications and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
  • Good understanding of QEHSMS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and safety regulations related to chemical handling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of accurate data entry, reporting, and documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and with suppliers/auditors.
2. Lab Technician (Colour Matching / Sample / Paints)

Location: Jurong West

Working hrs: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5.30pm

Salary: Up to 2,300 + AWS

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and weigh paint base materials according to specified formulas.
  • Tint paint using colorants and ensure accurate mixing.
  • Operate shaking equipment to homogenize paint samples.
  • Cast drawdowns for visual and spectrophotometer evaluation.
  • Label and organize paint samples for sale submission.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the laboratory.
  • Assist in data recording and reporting of test results.
Qualifications
  • Minimum ITE (Institute of Technical Education) certificate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory will be added advantage
