Job summary

A leading luxury consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Gemmologist & Production Manager. The successful candidate will utilize advanced gemological instruments for the identification and grading of gemstones, provide expert consultation to clients, and manage procurement and inventory. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the luxury retail sector and hold relevant certifications. The role offers a starting salary of $4500 to $7000 plus bonuses based on performance.

• Willingness to travel is necessary.

Job description

Gemmologist & Production Manager

Working Days: 5.5 days
Working Timing: 9-6pm (Mon to Fri) and 9am to 1pm Saturday (by appointment), Sunday & PH is off.
Working Location: Orchard Road
Starting Salary: $4500 to $7000 + Sales commission sharing + AWS + bonus depends on company performance

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years working experience in the retail luxury industry, preferable in a jewellery field.
• Certified Gemmologist (GIA, FGA or other relevant certification) will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel.

Gem Identification and Grading

• Utilize advanced gemological instruments and techniques to accurately identify and grade gemstones, including diamonds, coloured gemstones, and pearls.

Client Consultation

• Provide expert advice to clients on gemstone selection, care, and investment.
• Assist in the selection of gemstones for jewellery design and creation.

Procurement

• Sourcing and procurement of gemstones.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of gemstone inventory.
• Monitor gemstone market trends and advise on potential investments.

Production

• Coordinate with designers and workshop on new product development.
