Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore seeks an experienced Java Developer to provide hands-on support for building and managing applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, strong experience in Java technologies like SpringBoot, and 6–12 years of relevant experience. AWS certifications are preferred. This role involves prototyping, coding, and ensuring compliance with best practices.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support including prototyping and coding.
• Build proof-of-concepts (POCs).
• Build Java and Web applications on AWS.
• Support build, deployment, and testing phases.
• Ensure compliance with security and best practices.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct performance and capacity assessments.
• Deep dive and solve complex engineering problems.
• Develop and maintain expertise in Java technologies (e.g., SpringBoot / SpringBatch) and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch).

Required Experience & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 6–12 years of relevant experience in building and managing applications.
• Strong experience in Java technologies (e.g., SpringBoot / SpringBatch) is a must.
• Angular JS proficiency
• Strong experience in integrating applications with supporting systems/tools like 2FA, identity providers (IdP).
• Strong experience in supporting critical application workloads on AWS Cloud.
• Hands-on, detailed and a team player exemplifying the “can-do” attitude.
• AWS Certification – Solution Architect Associate and Developer Associate
• Experienced in application and engineering.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
