Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee deal onboarding activities, including acquisition timelines, funds flow, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as legal advisors and sellers for Finance, Tax, and Treasury documentation.
  • Manage closing costs and working capital requirements during acquisitions.
  • Handle portfolio deal accounting and reporting functions throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Monitor liquidity, cash management, and ensure timely invoice approvals and payments.
  • Review monthly management accounts, quarterly valuations, NAV analysis, and debt/cash positions.
  • Liaise with corporate secretaries and legal advisors for capital transactions and documentation.
  • Oversee funds transfers, FX settlements, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Analyze cash flow requirements and finalize quarterly distribution amounts.
  • Manage statutory audits and review financial statements, liaising with auditors on complex disclosures.
  • Support tax compliance and assist with tax reporting and queries.
  • Lead team onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal teams, external advisors, JV partners, and service providers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for financial reporting processes.
  • Manage disposition and liquidation processes, including fund flow and tax reviews.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance or related industry.
  • Proficient in Japanese to liaise with Japanese-speaking counterparts
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity, real estate, or fund administration; tax structuring experience is an advantage.
