Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to manage cloud systems on AWS and coordinate between cloud and on-premise infrastructures. Key responsibilities include monitoring performance, providing technical support, and ensuring security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, experience with AWS, and proficiency in IT administration frameworks. This role may require after-hours support and occasional weekend work for maintenance purposes.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Administer and maintain cloud-based systems hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Monitor cloud performance, security, and resource utilization
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures for cloud assets
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance
  • Hands‑on experience managing workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Core services: EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Backup
  • Familiar with security groups, NACLs, routing tables, and load balancers (ALB/NLB)
On-Premises IT Collaboration
  • Coordinate with IT partners to support and maintain on-premise infrastructure
  • Act as primary point of contact between the organization and external IT service providers
  • Ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-premise systems
  • Oversee service level agreements and vendor performance
  • Strong experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux (user management, services, logs, patching)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Experience managing File servers, Application and Database server
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, routing
  • Knowledge of firewalls and network security concepts
  • Able to troubleshoot connectivity issues between on‑prem and cloud systems
  • Experience using monitoring tools (SolarWinds)
  • Practical experience setting up and managing Veeam Backup
  • Ability to document and execute restore and disaster recovery procedures
  • Ability to automate routine tasks using PowerShell
  • Familiar with JIRA ticketing
General IT Administration
  • Provide technical support to end‑users across the organization
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and system permissions
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and best practices
  • Manage software licensing and hardware inventory
  • Coordinate system updates, patches, and maintenance window
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and administration
  • Experience working with external IT vendors and service providers
  • Understanding of network infrastructure, security protocols, and system administration
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or similar)
  • Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments
  • ITIL or similar IT service management framework experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
