IT Project Manager
The Project Manager will need to perform business systems analysis and mentoring, and educating our business partners on the most effective way to engage with IT. This means helping our business users to clarify and refine their requirements and developing the user stories needed to ensure that the technology solutions delivered meet the needs of the business.
The Project Manager will need to analyse, plan, and drive the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/DMS system. The Project Manager (PM) will help to execute and improve the key service delivery processes for this project and ensure that the correct metrics and Key Performance Indicators are in place.
The PM will initiate the projects, plan and execute, control; and close the project, once all the identified and agreed scope of work is implemented and tested for quality.
Responsibilities
- Understanding the project scope, schedule, and deliverables; and working closely with internal stakeholders to cognize their needs and expectations.
- End-to-end program management – project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.
- Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders, both in-person and through remote working models as needed.
- Acts as an interface between management and the system, including project planning, change management, and organisational oversight to fit the system better to the company’s processes
- Has oversight on the project as a whole, allowing proper control of project scope and of risk management
- Overseeing business projects and ensuring that are completed on time and within budget.
- Interfacing with the ERP/DMS implementation consultant to ensure projects run on time
- Transition and change management – pre, during, and post-project implementation.
- Project stakeholder management – working closely with internal and external stakeholders and Project Steering Committee.
- Partner relationship management – maintaining a healthy working relationship without compromising on deliverables and outcomes.
- Project scope and schedule management.
- Driving periodic project reviews and mitigating risks with due diligence and a data-driven approach.
- Contributing to the delivery of all aspects of the project and services: controlling and reporting on project activities, systems, and information security.
- Driving accountability and continual service improvements - reviewing support practices, performing trend analysis on key operational metrics, and ensuring a high focus on end-to-end project delivery.
- Assist with gap analysis of business requirements.
- Translate customer needs into user stories, with an emphasis on clear, concise statements of need.
- Participate in and/or lead the evaluation of third-party products.
- Collaborate with teams to recommend business process changes and technical solutions.
- Reporting, analyzing, and resolving issues related to the implementation, stakeholders, and project operations that may impact service quality; ensuring that stakeholders’ questions and problems are resolved properly and quickly.
- Improving support experience for quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes, establishing, and communicating service metrics, monitoring and analyzing results, and implementing changes.
- Using and creating knowledgebase articles based on new product information, support incidents, and/ or common or critical issues.
- Implementing process optimization, improvements, and modernization initiatives where appropriate.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and compliance issues and implementing strategic solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing organisation-wide IT projects in an Agile environment including a minimum of 3 plus years in a project management role (Automotive Industry is preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Computing, or related fields is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience in managing projects such as the implementation of ERP (Netsuite) or similar migration projects across the region.
- Professional certification such as PMP from PMI will be preferred.
- Knowledge or exposure to SDLC, Agile, and quality processes.
- Knowledge or hands‑on experience with business process mapping, project planning, execution, and control; sound understanding of ERP, CRM, DMS implementation, and related integration.
- Project/program management experience of complex Sales, People, or Financial Transformation program experience in a large organisation or MNC is preferred.
- Experience in negotiating with external vendors, including negotiating contracts, and prices, resolving service issues, and reconciling differences preferred.
- Ability to self‑start and meet the demands of multiple projects and deadlines effectively with little or no supervision.
- Skilled meeting facilitation at all levels in the organisation.
- Experience with using data visualisation to manage projects.
- Ability to influence teams to make necessary changes to improve business processes.
